High Five Anyone?

What do you think the record is for most high fives in a 24 hour period? According to the article from The Daily News, a man broke the record with 3,132 high fives.

Personally, I think the record should be taken away from this guy (Sam Kass). If you look at the picture below, he wore gloves on his hands to high five people. If you are unwilling to actually touch the hand of another person, it shouldn’t count as a high five!

Do we know anyone as passionate about food as this guy?

How about the Reds taking 2 of 3 from the Dodgers. Joey Votto came up big with 3 RBI including a 2 run single in the 9th against Broxton. The at-bat was a ten pitch classic with Votto fighting back from an 0-2 count to slap a single to left on 3-2.
Now it’s on to fact the Giants. The Reds are currently 5-1 on their current West Coast trip. This is usually where Reds teams go to die but there’s plenty of fuel left in the Big Red Machine.
On the left hand side of the page, you’ll find the Reds current Magic Number. As of Monday, a combination of 37 Reds wins and Cardinals losses will put the Reds in the playoffs.

Also, I agree: The high fives shouldn’t count if your hand doesn’t actually touch the other person’s.

    I definetly know a guy like that…

He was carrying a big tray of food in one hand, and caught the ball in the other. Obviously, he didn’t sacrifice the food for the ball, or vise versa, but came away with both. And stop joking around; you know we’re talking about YOU!

Also, tonight I am going to the Mets game! They are playing their division rivals, the Marlins. The Mets’ reliable knuckler, R.A. Dickey, goes up against the Marlins’ ace whom the Mets have only beaten once, Josh Johnson. My dad and I are, for once, not sitting in the upper deck, but in the level below. We even have access to a restaurant, thanks to the Mets Fan Club for Kids. (you get 2 free tickets every year that you belong) I can’t wait! Go Mets!

Hooray! The Mets won! In walk-off fashion, I might add. 6-5 over the Marlins. It was an exciting, up and down game all around. R.A. Dicky pitched pretty well for 6 innings before giving up a 3 run bomb to the Marlins’ Gaby Sanchez in the 7th, turning the Mets’ 4-2 lead into a 5-4 deficit. But, contrary to what they usually do, the Mets fought back. In the 8th, Carlos Beltran delivered an RBI single, driving Angel Pagan, who went 4-5 on the night. But then, in the 9th, Luis Castillo punched a single into right field, scoring none other than Ike Davis! Mets win! We like Ike! All in all, a very enjoyable game. I am now 2-1 on the year in Mets games I have attended.
