Predict-Generate potential essay questions based on the material. Think of questions that use key essay words (explain, compare and contrast, describe, give examples, etc.)
O
Organize-Summarize materials by organizing key ideas into an outline or graphic organizer.
R
Rehearse-Recite information from the outlines or graphic organizers and provide specific examples to support ideas.
P
Practice-Practice writing the essay. After writing, check your practice response with the outline or graphic organizer you developed.
E
Evaluate-Evaluate your practice answer. Check to see if it is accurate and thorough. Go back to your notes/textbook for additional information or examples
